Which brings me to the topic of choosing the "right" artist. Over the last few years, I have noted a flood of "decorative" artists  in the field-many that are overpriced, under trained, and uneducated.  Leaving many customers feeling "ripped-off."  Muraling is a fine art and requires many years of study to perfect.

Please when calling for a muralist ask if they have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree-this is a four year degree from an accredited college, and there are very few of us out there.  Also, ask how long they've been in business (at least 5 years experience) and if they have a color portfolio showing a good range of subject matter.  These credentials should introduce you to an artist with the breadth to execute your ideas.
